How it works

Simple support for people making things with AI.

Manage your support

For supporters

What am I funding?

You’re supporting a creator’s AI work. Tokens are a way to describe that support, not a purchase of API credits or cryptocurrency. Featured projects show what the creator makes; your payment supports the creator rather than a particular project.

Do I need an account?

No. Choose an amount on a creator’s page and pay through Stripe Checkout. Use the same email address later to retrieve your payment history or manage monthly support.

Is my support public?

Your name and message appear only if you choose to share them publicly. Payment amounts and email addresses are not shown on creator pages. A creator or platform moderator can hide a public message.

How does monthly support work?

If a creator enables it, choose monthly support at checkout. Stripe bills the selected amount each month until canceled. There are no membership tiers or promised perks. Changing the creator’s preset amounts does not change your existing subscription.

How do I cancel or change monthly support?

Open Manage support, enter the creator’s page handle and your payment email, and follow the secure email link. Open Stripe billing to cancel or update your payment method. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. To change your amount, cancel the existing subscription before starting another.

Where are my receipt and share card?

Manage support gives you private payment history and a downloadable share card. The card excludes your email and message, and includes the amount only when you select it. You can share the downloaded image wherever you like. Stripe also handles payment receipts.

My payment is still confirming. Should I pay again?

Wait for confirmation and check your Stripe receipt before trying again. A successful bank notification or return to this site can arrive before our payment confirmation. Paying again could create another payment.

Who handles refunds?

The creator manages refunds in Stripe. Contact them using the links on their page. Canceling monthly support stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund previous payments.

For creators

What does it cost?

Buy Me Some Tokens deducts a 5% platform fee from successful payments. Stripe processing fees also apply and are paid by the creator. Payout amounts and timing are managed by Stripe.

What can I put on my page?

Add your name, profile photo, a short introduction, links and featured projects. Customize the suggested support amounts and labels, and optionally enable monthly support. Each creator has one funding page.

How do goals work?

Goals are off by default. You can add one optional goal. Confirmed support received while it is active counts toward it, including monthly renewals. Refunds and lost disputes reduce progress. Hiding a goal does not stop tracking. Ending it preserves its history; a new goal starts without counting earlier payments.

When can I start accepting support?

Save your profile and complete Stripe’s hosted onboarding. Publication requires a supported country and currency, verified account details and active payment and payout capabilities. If Stripe later restricts the account, new payments pause.

Can I change my page address or currency?

Your page address is locked after publication. Currency is locked after receiving support or an active subscription, and while a checkout is pending. Choose these carefully during setup.

Can I pause my funding page?

Yes. Turn off Accept new support in Account settings to stop new tips and monthly signups. Your page stays visible with support paused. Existing subscriptions continue, checkouts already opened may finish, and supporters keep receipt and billing access. You can enable new support again anytime.

Does disabling monthly support cancel existing subscriptions?

No. It stops new monthly signups. Existing supporters retain their subscriptions and access to Stripe billing.

Help people find your page

  1. Add your page link to your bio, project README, and the places you already share your work.
  2. Share it with your next tutorial, AI experiment, or artwork. Explain what support helps you make next.
  3. Keep the invitation simple: “If this helped you, you can support my next experiment here.”

Need help or want to report a page?

Include the creator’s page address and a short description. For payment questions, include your Stripe receipt reference if available. Never send passwords, full card details, or private access links.
